Information Regarding Email Messages

The First National Bank of Talladega advises customers that email is an unsecured method of communication.  Customers are asked never to send confidential or private information, including account numbers, social security numbers, tax identification numbers, or other personal information to the bank via email.  Additionally, customers will never be contacted via email by the bank and asked to provide confidential or private information.  Please forward any messages that appear suspicious or solicit information to phishing@fnbtalladega.com immediately. 

The information contained in the transmission is privileged and confidential.  It is intended for the use of the individual(s) or entity named above. At The First National Bank of Talladega, our customers are our highest priority. So naturally we want to protect the personal and financial information you've entrusted with us. For this reason, we would like to explain some of our procedures which are intended to protect your privacy.

Please note that to protect your privacy, we cannot accept communications from someone claiming to represent you, unless the party acting for you is your attorney, guardian, trustee, or is otherwise authorized by law to represent you.

We recognize and respect your privacy expectations as a customer.

Use, Collection and Retention of Customer Information
We will collect, retain and use information about our customers only where the institution reasonably believes it would be useful (and allowed by law) to administering our Bank's business and to provide products, services and other opportunities to its customers.

Maintenance of Accurate Information
We will establish procedures so that a customer's financial information is accurate, current and complete in accordance with reasonable commercial standards. We will also respond to requests to correct inaccurate information in a timely manner.

Limiting Employee Access to Information
We will limit employee access to personally identifiable information to those with a business reason for knowing such information. We will also educate our employees so that they will understand the importance of confidentiality and customer privacy. We will also take appropriate disciplinary measures to enforce employee privacy responsibilities.

Protection of Information via Established Security Procedures
We will maintain appropriate security standards and procedures regarding unauthorized access to customer information.

Restrictions on the Disclosure of Account Information
We will not reveal specific information about customer accounts or other personally identifiable data to unaffiliated third parties for their independent use except for the exchange of information with reputable information reporting agencies to maximize the accuracy and security of such information or in the performance of bona fide corporate due diligence, unless

- the information is provided to help complete a customer-initiated transaction;

- the customer requests it;

- the disclosure is required by/ or allowed by law (e.g., subpoena, investigation of fraudulent activity, etc.);

-the customer has been informed about the possibility of disclosure for marketing or similar purposes through a prior communication and is given the opportunity to decline (i.e., "opt out").

Maintaining Customer Privacy in Business Relationships with Third Parties
If personally identifiable customer information is provided to a third party, we will insist that the third party adhere to similar privacy principles that provide for keeping such information confidential.
